Livestock breeders and farmers can employ the workers they select by one of the following two methods:

In this case, the employer must have gross income of €22,000 if it is an individual business or €60,000 if it is a company for each employee invited.

Note that employee insurance is done through EFKA contributions and not through OGA work stamps.
WITH A SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT FROM 6 TO 9 MONTHS

The employer can employ their workers for six to nine months each year, for up to five consecutive years.

In this case, no income criteria are required and employee insurance is done through OGA work stamps.

The employer is obliged to provide suitable accommodation to their employees.
Hotel Businesses
Specific information for hotel businesses and tourist accommodations
There is the possibility to invite foreigners to hotel businesses and tourist accommodations in general for employment by one of the following two methods:
WITH A FIXED-TERM CONTRACT FROM ONE TO TWO YEARS

Expected job positions: chambermaids, cleaners, gardeners.

In this case, the employer must have gross income of €22,000 if it is an individual business or €60,000 if it is a company for each employee invited.
WITH A SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT FOR EACH YEAR FOR UP TO FIVE CONSECUTIVE YEARS

The employer can employ their workers for six to nine months each year, for up to five consecutive years.

Again, the employer must have gross income of €22,000 if it is an individual business or €60,000 if it is a company for each employee invited.

The employer is obliged to provide suitable accommodation to their employees.
Domestic Helpers
Specific information on employing domestic helpers
There is the possibility to hire domestic helpers with an employment contract from one to two years.
For this purpose, the employer must show at least €22,000 income on their latest tax clearance certificate.
The foreign worker’s insurance is done via IKA work stamps.
Catering
Specific information on employing foreign workers in the catering sector
There is the possibility to invite foreigners for employment as cooks, kitchen assistants, or waiters with an employment contract from one to two years.
In this case, the employer must have gross income of €22,000 if it is an individual business or €60,000 if it is a company for each employee invited.
Construction Sector
Specific information on employing laborers in the construction sector
There is the possibility to invite foreigners with an employment contract from one to two years to work as:
- Building construction and finishing workers (e.g., unskilled construction workers, masons, concrete workers, formworkers, floor installers, carpenters, metal cutters and connectors, plasterers, painters).
- Metal processing technicians (e.g., metal casters, laminators, blacksmiths, welders – electric welders).
In this case, the employer must have gross income of €22,000 if it is an individual business or €60,000 if it is a company for each employee invited.
Industries
Specific information on employing workers and employees in industries, food processing factories, small manufacturing units, and wholesale businesses
There is the possibility to invite foreigners with an employment contract from one to two years to work as:
- Goods loading and unloading workers.
- Workers in olive oil, dairy factories, and food industry factories in general.
- Product packaging and repackaging workers.
- Unskilled manufacturing workers.
In this case, the employer must have gross income of €22,000 if it is an individual business or €60,000 if it is a company for each employee invited.
